Yes folks you read that right..I'm 30 :) Bring on the mid-life crisis..NOT! I have no hang-ups about age-- I've felt middle-aged since about 8th grade so now it's nice to actually feel my age and I feel G-R-E-A-T! and now on to MORE important things! My sweet sweet Cam is 4 years old!! I am sorry to say his birthday was last Monday and I am now just posting this..Lameo-Mom !!
After Dax's birthday last month Cameron started asking about his birthday and I was happy to say it's around the corner buddy!! He said he wanted friends and cake just like his brother's party!! Which is cute cuz' that kid is really shy...doesn't care for crowds but he rocked it out at Dax's party and was ready for his own special day!!! This kid is the kid that tells me "I Love you Mom" at least 3 times a day! Every night before bed he says "Okay Mom, 2 hugs and 2 kisses"--He loves to snuggle and is just a joy to call my son! He loves teasing Dax and can get him mad faster than anyone-- I am constantly catching that kid in the bathroom making faces at himself ( laughing I might add)- So I think we might have a little clown in the making :) He is our accident prone child..crossing my fingers no broken bones anytime soon! WE LOVE YOU CAM!!! Love Daddy, Mom, Dax, Gooose and Emmylou!!xoxo

Mexico 2011-- on the boy's boat trip!

Well today is one of those bittersweet days...My firstborn son is 5 years old today!!! I'm having a couple of teary moments, mostly because it really does feel like yesterday he was born and we were embarking on a new life as parents!! I love this big guy so much! He is such the older brother, He loves his brothers and is the one they both want to follow and do what he does :) He is always trying to get Cam and Goose to laugh..So we might have a little class clown in the making. He is always smiling that deep dimpled smile and as you can guess it's hard to discipline the kid at times :) He is so loving and just loves to cuddle, which I hope never changes...But I know that day will get here eventually. He is his Dad's son as he loves to help Dad work on cars--Loves tools...a recent happening was he saw our neighbors working on their sprinklers so he went home and filled up his Hot wheel with tools and drove over to see if he could help! Love that boy :) Happy Birthday Dax Henry Gardner-- Your Mom, Dad and brothers love you!!xoxo

San Carlos 2011

WEERRREEE BBBACCKK!!! We made our annual trek to San Carlos, Mexico this past week :) It was no surprising awesome! It seemed to take forever for the trip to get here but then the night before we set off for Arizona I was frantically trying to finish the dreaded packing(note to readers...I DESPISE PACKING) and with having a very full week before of hair clients, I would be lying if I said all the laundry was washed, the house was cleaned and I was a nice mother and wife......But everybody survived my craziness and we spent a couple days in AZ before the next leg of our trip. We spent the week working on our tans, enjoying each others company and indulging in food we had all been depriving ourselves leading up to this week of wearing only your "birthday..er bathing suit"- We went on our deep sea fishing trip and had a successful time as everybody was bringing up multiple fish on the same cast!! We headed to the aquarium to do some snorkeling but were sad to find with the windy weather the days before we got there had stirred up the seafloor and it was so cloudy you could barely see your hand in front of you. So it was straight to OUR favorite part of our boat ride--The native crew cooks up the BEST fish tacos you have ever eaten!!! They are divine--And after the long morning you eat then like it's your last meal!! My baby Goose would not even try to take a nap on the boat so upon getting back to the condo the little rascal took a 5 hour nap!!!We learned that Dax could spent from 6 in the morning to 6 at night on the beach or at the pool--His AMAZING tan speaks for it's self along with his hair is practically bleach blond!! He's pretty cute! Cam was Cam the first day..not wanting to try anything new but soon realized all the fun that is to be had playing in the ocean and swimming in the pool! Gus was a perfect angel, wearing himself out being outdoors and sleeping like a champ for close to 12+ hours each night!!! I will report that we saw nothing scary in Mexico--My Dad was not happy we were going, But with prayers in our hearts we had no difficulties and made it safely back to the US of A with no problems- I am really glad to be home--Well kind of home, We are in Arizona til' Tuesday, taking a break from another long car ride :) Thank you to April and Kinsley for lending me adorable swimsuits and clothes, I looked quite attractive I must add :)

Well folks, I am proud to report that stopping any form of sugar and white flour going into my body has done the trick! I am back to losing and it's a great feeling let me tell you! I am weighing in at 180.5,which is a GRAND Total of 34.5 lbs-- which is close to having lost the amount of weight I would have on me carrying Cam around on my back!!!With that said I am very happy that my efforts are being rewarded greatly!!! This week was not too hard the only day that I was forgiving to myself was Mother's Day-- Starting with at church they gave the Mother's on the way out of Sacrament meeting a cute little gift bag with a Hersey's chocolate bar w/ almonds! And a magnet with the beautiful quote :"There is nothing in this world as personal,as nurturing, or as life changing as the influence of a righteous woman. All women have their divine nature both inherent talent and the stewardship to mother"--Elder M. Russell Ballard-- And with that said I really feel honored to be able to be the mother to my loving, sweethearts Dax, Cam and Goose! It was a near 5 year struggle to get Dax here but now my body sure knows how to get pregnant on it's own and for that I thank Heavenly Father. I have several close friends and family members who have not been able to conceive and I know from experience Mother's Day is not up there on the top of their list of days they look forward to, So dear Friends hang in there!! I know all of you will be able to have the chance to become Mom's yourselves, I love you and know that when the time is right (which unfortunately isn't sometimes when WE want it to be) it will happen and you will be AWESOME Mothers!! Don't get down, find joy and peace in the process--xoxoxo Candice

Okay totally slacked on the weight loss update...I haven't fell off the wagon or anything ( if that's even how the saying goes) I have continued my workouts 5x a week, eating pretty sensibly blah blah blah--But I hit a plateau a couple weeks ago and tried to keep my cool--SO as of today I am 184....Yep if you read the last post I was a pound heavier than that..Boo!I keep reminding myself that in the last 6 months I have lost 30 lbs and I do feel like clothes are fitting looser, so that 's the good thing. I decided my body had figured out my plan and has decided to secretly plot against me so what have I done to combat it's plans? I started as of Thursday--No sugar, No white flour, only protein, fruits/veggies, LOTS of H20 ( which on day 1 there was a suprise birthday party for a neighbor..can we say chocolate cake and I didn't succumb!!!) and I think I need to change up my workouts! I have been doing the Zumba Toning instead of just regular Zumba--It's Zumba with 3lb. weights and Holy Crappers!Does it kick my booty!! I have tried to continue my struggle with running......I am at a 13.40 mile...Yeah and about 5 days ago my knees have started to give me grief :( So I am trying not to cry into a half gallon of cookie dough ice cream, Wish me luck!! No really I am feeling really good and even though I am not enjoying my afternoon cocktail i.e. a fabulous ice cold Diet Coke, I am doing good and good I mean not feeling deprived and taking out my frustrations on the boys :) I have realized I am a total "boredom" eater! I eat out of there's nothing keeping me occupied which I scoff at cuz' half the time I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off so go figure :) Mexico is also looming over me like a raincloud--Not that I'm not excited I just am not ready to walk around in my bathing suit sans a cover-up -...So really hoping to lose even 8-ish more lbs before the trip.....With the weather warming up here it's easy to keep really busy with my boys loving their Easter bikes and us going on walks everyday and mentally the warm weather has been really refreshing!!SO Mother Nature please keep it coming:) and a side note to the testament of how long this winter has been..The snow pack on Mt Timp, here in Provo hasn't even begun to melt....Flooding is not a possibility its a reality this year!! Any who, I plan on trying to do what my girlfriend Becca does and update every Saturday on what's happening! I do believe the positive comments are huge in continuing weightloss success!!......Current photo below :P

Im feeling good, just ready for a little tan to hide the cellulite!! Sorry but that's the truth....a tan hides inperfections--So on monday Im visiting the spray-booth :)

Happy Birthday Dayton!!

It's my dear sweet Husband's 33rd birthday today!! I wanted to tell him how much I love him and how happy and lucky I feel to be have him to spend my life with!! Last night I reminded Dax it was Dad's bithday tomorrow and his reply was "Mom, we gotta go to the store and get him a toy"-- What's perfect about that is Dayton is a total kid at heart & I bet money whatever Dax would have picked out it would have been his favorite present :) Dayton is the kind of person who since we have been together ( almost 11 yrs) I think I've seen him in a bad mood maybe twice! He is always quick to drop whatever he is doing when either myself or our boys need his help :) He always been right in the thick of it with me changing the poopey diapers, wiping runny noses, starting laundry ( and is the first to grab a basket to fold while we watch a movie at night). He is Mr.Fix-it and if a toy or something breaks Dax reassures me "Dad will fix it"-- I love you Dayton and hope today feels like a extra special day!!xoxo-- P.S. Im making a new Reese's PB Chocolate cake with ganache--wish me luck it turns out perfect!!

So had a good laugh at my eldest son, I opened our drawer that has treats in it sometimes and this is what I found :)

Upon asking Dax "What happened Dax...it looks like a crazy rabbit or something got ahold of this box and ate it's way to get to the krabby patties"-- He calmly replied " Daddy opened it Mom!"-- And to that I asked "Are you sure buddy?"-- Then he said "I think it was Goose"-- trying not to laugh I asked how could the baby get into the drawer it's way too high up-- He then said Goose pushed a stool over and climbed up :)-- I'm thinking "Yeah Dax..that's totally what happened"-- Well..I asked a third time and truth set him free--"I did it Mom"--And I said That's what I thought and assured him I was not mad and thank you for telling the truth :)-- This is the first time he's ever "fibbed" and I'm hoping he sees that telling the truth isn't scary :)

And just cuz' they're adorable here is pictures I took this morning of the boys sitting together-- Notice Cam's smile...Yeah that's his picture smile--pretty hilarious! And Gus looks like he's staring into the sun--***I am so lucky to have these cute faces looking at me day after day!!***

Weightloss Update #1

Sorry this is a little delayed :) I am happy to report I am doing pretty good! Had a minor setback with being sick the last week so tonight's Zumba class will be my first workout since last Friday ( over a week ago) I know I have lost a little ground....Meaning getting back to the grind may be a little rough this week, Waking up tomorrow at 5:30 am is gonna kick my bum, But I will prevail!!!! I have actually really missed my workouts, It has become my 'ME" time :) And like I've said I truly believe I am a more patient, happy go lucky Mom with regular exercise. This week with being so sick ( I hadn't been that sick for some time) I let the boys kinda do whatever and it feels much better to not only be better of course but to get back to our semi-set schedule :) And mostly Im sure Dayton is much happier to have a wife back! I kinda get the blues when Im sick so I was not very forgiving to myself this week and seemed to try chew myself up & spit me back out! Im also attributing the "crazy, irrational thoughts" to the monthly reminder I am a woman :) SO lots of crazy talk this week....Thanks Dear for puttig up with me!On a happier not, People have definitely been complementing me on my weight loss more & more but I am a horrible complement receiver..I am trying very hard to be better and just say "thank you" and not start saying the "Yeah..but's"-- And also all of you gals comments were Awesome!! Thank you so so much :)

Last week at my sister-n-law Caitie's baby shower--Im feeling pretty slim..mind you Im standing next to a gal ready to give birth at any time :)

The scale has been kind-- Im clocking in at 185-186 so I have lost about 4.5 in the last 2 weeks :) The only thing that Im hoping to change is to see more change in my hip-thigh area...That's my "problem area" Im still wearing my good ol' size 14-16 pants and yeah it's nice to pull them out of the dryer and put them on ( I used to HAVE to hang all jeans to dry if I ever had any intention to put them on :) I would really like to just wear sz 12..Is that so much to ask :) So I gonna keep on the grind! Mexico in here in 9 weeks!! So still plenty of time to reach some milestones in this weightloss game!!!

As you can see it was like Zoolander in the coal-mine,,You could pretty much see just a pair of blue-eyes looking up at you :) Thanks to My parents, Aunts, Grandmas, cousins for making it to the Big event!! Today is a bittersweet day at the Gardner House! Our baby Goose is 1 today :) I can't express how fast this year has gone by! It really feels like we brought that little guy home from the hospital yesterday. He has been such an immense blessing in our home. We feel so fortunate to have this little boy for a son. He is always Happy and is so loving and tender. His brothers love him so much and really make it their goal in life to get him to smile and laugh :) Dax especially, He's always trying out new faces & sounds to see what he will do! Cam continues to try to ride him like a pony...We continue to explain that he's a baby not a stuffed animal. He gets his 1 year old check up in Saturday so I don't have official stats but if I were to guess he's topping in at around 25 lbs--Too heavy to carry for long :) He's sporting clothes that are 18 mon--some 2T but only cuz' I need to just break down & get him a few things...With him being a Spring baby & the other boys being Summer kids there is like a season of clothes at his size I never had to buy :) He is a fast crawler and he has super-power hearing, We can be as sneaky as possible to open the laundry room door or my bedroom & before you know it the lil' stinker is right on your heals! He loves solids (finally) really likes Little Cesar's pizza we discovered the other night....Not that that will become a normal dinner for him :P He is saying a couple words here & there which is really exciting to us! Today Dayton walked into the kitchen when I was feeding him lunch and plain as day said "Dad"-- We starting cheering and laughing-He loved it!! I gave him a haircut about a month ago I just couldn't wait any longer it was probably the "hair-dresser" in me but I couldn't take the uneven mullet one more day!! I shaved it with a number 4 to just take off the really long stuff & low and behold it's coming in white!! My little "toe-headed" son..who would guess he's a 1/4 Hispanic :) Or that I'm his Mom-- Had a couple people ask me if he's a nephew!!
We are having a birthday party on Saturday Night so pictures of that little baby covered in cake are sure to follow!! We LOVE you Goosen!!! Happy Birthday!! xoxo

P.S. Will post weight loss update this weekend, doing good even though I succumbed to a box of Hot Tamales and a Free Blizzard from Dairy Queen :)

OK it's official this is the worst photo I could find........it will be the official 'Before' photo like the ones people show on the Nutri-system commercials!

Our couple picture last fall I had started 'no sugar' 4 days before this picture ws taken--I really thought standing behind the post would make me appear thinner :) Notice how slim and muscular my hubby looks :P

     I felt that to help me have continued success at my goal of losing weight it would help to do as my sister-n-law Chelsea did and talk about it on here and have some peeps to help me be accountable and I wonder lie, reading comments of encouragement never hurts! Well if I am going to be honest I will start with saying that I had put on weight after we got married and that weight was still hanging on when we started our family :) Surprisingly When I was preggo w/ Dax I was so sick I delivered him weighing about 14 lbs less than my pre-preg weight ( sounds impressive til' I mention I delivered him at a slim 202 lbs) and after his delivery and nursing my weight stabilized and I eventually made my way down about another 10 lbs-- When Dax was about 4 1/2 mon old We found out we were preggo w/ Cam :) I wasn't as sick and still did well and delivered the little guy weighing just a few more lbs than with Dax-- Welcome chasing 2 babies and pretty much eating whatever fell off the high-chair :)I got some decent regular exercise, but pair that with I REALLY Like to bake and cook and the word "portion size" was not a regular word in my vocabulary! We were very lucky to welcome Mr. Goose almost a year ago ( Ugh...my baby is almost one) And you may not have known to look at me but I weighed in at a whopping 2...2...6...when I delivered....Yikes just writing that makes me want to go "feed my feelings"--hahaha...............................Fast forward to last October and I waddling around having lost at one time 16 lbs but more importantly gaining 8 of that back :(
   So what happened you ask? Well I started a serious 'no sugar' diet for about a month-- The first 3 days were agony..I could have kidnapped a girl scout if in return she handed over even one box of Samoa's!! But after that 3 day hump, the cravings were surprisingly pretty much gone :) I definitely was getting enough to eat ( you ate every 2 hrs to keep your blood sugar from dropping to low) and with my dear sweet husband following the program with me :) I didn't have to mope at the table eating steamed veggies & chicken while watching Dayton eating Lasagna or something :) I also dropped the carbonated soda which was rough.....I love the burn of carbonation--- Began working out 3x a week-- doing 3 sets of different weights and a minimum of 25 min of cardio-mostly the elliptical, but also doing some time on the treadmill-- What happened after one month was pretty surprising even to me! I lost 12 lbs and had wayyy more energy and knew that I couldn't keep up the "no sugar" but if I was smart about it I could continue on with eating semi-normal just paying close attention to portion size. Fast forward to Thanksgiving and after my girlfriend Bunny telling me along with my sister-n-law Miken how much they loved doing Zumba ( its a cardio workout via latin dancing infused with aerobics) I went to a free class they held on Thanksgiving morning were they claimed do this class and you can eat whatever you like today! How was I sold?? On that last part--It was Thanksgiving and I was going to enjoy myself :) After the hour class I was hooked!! This was by far the most fun thing I had done in a long time!! Started going regularly in December and not to blog every detail but today I am topping the scales at 188-190 depending on the day-- So in the last year I have gone down over 36 lbs!!!! To write that makes butterflies swarm in my tummy!! I am today a happier, more patient and loving wife and mother!! I am able to keep up with my 3 little boys and am feeling pretty good about myself!! We have our annual family trip to Mexico the first week of June so that gives me approx. 13.57 weeks to try to get to my goal of losing another 18-20 lbs so roughly losing about 1.5 lbs a week--which is not a unreasonable goal!!! I am proud to add that I'm not using any stimulants, 'diet pills', fat blockers ect. just doing it the ol' fashioned way of eating healthy and exercise! If this is going to be a life change not just a get in shape for a beach vacation, I can't think that I can use any of that crap cuz' in a half a doughnut second I could think that I could take those and not see that I can do this all by myself :)
     So I am continuing on with my working out-- I go to Zumba M-W-F and do a Weight class called Sculpt & Burn on T-TH-Sat-- I am about to step up my game since Valentines we've had chocolate in the house and time to just toss the rest in the trash :) I plan on checking in here about once a week! I in closing want to Thank Dayton for being my rock! He is so supportive of me and my goals! He's never complained about the hour I sneak off after the boys go to bed and is always complimenting me on my success!And even when I was heavier I never felt any less loved, Love you dear!

So here is a Awesome Dax story that I need to make sure to get on our Blog. I want to get a book made once a year of our blog to have a record of the events of our lives :) And since it was Dayton that Dax asked He is going to be our "guest" writer for this post: "Okay go ahead Dear"...................................

Last Sunday in order to keep the sabbath Day Holy I popped in an old favorite movie "Jason and the Argonauts". About 45 minutes in as Triton the giant Merman God holds apart the Clashing Rocks to allow Jason and his Seamen safe passage, Dax looked over at me and said,"Dad, I LOVE this show!". The feeling was mutual. About 20 minutes further into the movie we come to Jason fighting the Hydra ( a seven headed Dragon) in order to obtain the Golden plates err I mean Fleece(the reason for their voyage). At this point Dax again looks to me pointing at Jason and asks,"Dad...is that Jesus Kwyst?" and I reply with enthusiasm,"That it is son, that it is."

Okay it's Candice again...It was awesome, we had some family over and all of us erupted in laughter :) And well... I figure "Hey the guy has a full beard, brown hair and yes looks similar to the pictures we have up in our home"-- So I am just going to say that maybe our kids are being taught a few good things here at our house and gives me hope that they will turn out okay :)

I haven't blogged in almost 2 months...You know how it goes Christmas, New Years blah blah blah!! We had a fun Christmas, the boys totally got it this year..For the weeks leading up to the big day all I heard from Dax was "Mom is it time to open presents?' And after helping wrap our cousins presents all Dax wants to do is wrap up anything he can--Sidestory I picked up some wrapping paper at 75% off for next year and had kept in the back of the van, not going to bring it in til' I remembered to after kids were in bed...Dax ended up seeing it a couple weeks ago and the other day he used up the remainder of the roll I let him wrap his daily presents with was gone, I said we were all done. He said "Mom, what about I use the paper in the van?" So the days of me thinking I can pull one over on my kids are over.....Not that Im mad/sad it's just realizing my kids are little 'people', It just kinda blows my mind away that all :) Santa and Mom & Dad went in together this year and the boys hot a Power wheel, Dax was in heaven and with true Cam style, He took one look and yelled "No, don't want it" and ran out of the room..This is classic Cameron..You think he's gonna like something and DOESN'T and you think he will hate something and loves it..He's a little odd to say the least but it's something that just makes us laugh now! So after 2 weeks Cam was finally coming around and climbed in to drive, he had dropped a toy out of the car and leaned over the side to get it and at the same time pressed the gas pedal w/o meaning to so it sent him flying forward unexpected..So as you can maybe guess Cam doesn't want to drive the car it's 'too scary'---

Well Winter is in full effect here in Utah, It's been pretty cold so we have been staying inside keeping warm. Gus is crawling everywhere and the stairs are especially fun for the little rascal. He is enjoying solids finally and like his cousin George screams out with the current bite in his mouth as your hustling to get another ready!! He has 5 teeth now and there those cute chipmunk looking ones on top!! He is getting more hair and it's always kinda everywhere so most of the time he looks like a mad scientist :) We are REALLY enjoying our Goose, He is the star of the show so to speak at our house these days. Dax and Cam are so excited when he's woken up from a nap and Dax has discovered Gus will laugh at him so now Dax is turning into a stand-up comedian trying to get Goose to giggle!! We are about to have some changes happen in our life, Dayton is all registered at UVU to start classes in May!! So student life here we come!! Im going to also start school, very slowly though, only a class a semester-- So I'll keep you updated as to how that goes :) Also another sidenote, We found out on Christmas that the Gardner Family Mexico trip is planned and we depart the first week in June!! So as you might have guessed, We are in full swing on the New Year work out plan!!! Swimsuit weather here we come!!! ( Please swimsuit weather just get here already!!) xoxo

Gus and me went to brave the crazy Christmas shoppers to get some well needed necessities and this is what we came home to!! Dayton said he wanted to make a snowman today but I really didn't think it was gonna happen-- And especially not this good! He sprayed the colors with a water bottle mixture of water & food coloring!! Dax was extra pleased telling Dad " That's the best snowman Dad, I wove it!"--

Well it was our favorite time of year again to hit up ol' Walt Disney's theme park!! What was extra fun is Dax remembered what Disneyland is so he was EXTRA excited and asked me everyday since Halloween when we were going! We drove out in this......

No I'm not kidding.....Dayton has a side hobby,buying and fixing cars-- So we decided why not travel in fierce style and luxury :) And yes I know what your thinking..It was AWESOME! The boys meaning Dax and Cam did not have to sit by each other so no fist fights broke out!!

We did have the longest drive of our life on the way there, Once we hit Vegas ALL and I mean ALL traffic came to a screeching halt! Everybody was heading home to California :( So instead of taking 9 1/2 to get there we hit 14 1/2 (Ugh!!)

But we all crashed and were ready (woke up to Dax sitting in his stroller ready to go at like 6...said "sorry buddy go back to bed the park isn't open yet!)

We were VERY lucky that Grandma Robin came with us and even Grandpa made an appearance one of the days!! We had a blast Dax is a crazy can't get enough of the rides fool!! He LOVES Thunder Railroad, Space Mountain and Matterhorn but hands down his favorite was....Pirates of the Caribbean!!!

Cameron took a little longer to warm up..He is scared of "It's a Small World" so finally by the end of day 2, He seemed to finally be having fun!

Our Baby Goose loved it too!! He was Mr. curious on any ride we took him on ( Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Winnie the Pooh) He couldn't look around fast enough!

The weather was great, A little chilly in the mornings and at night but nothing to what we left behind in Utah :)

And a personal highlight was Captain EO was back at the park...Mind you the last time I saw it was nearly 25 years ago!!! And being the MJ fan that I am I am not ashamed to say I got teary eyed watching it.....I know I don't know why either... :)

Here's one amazing tid-bit to share--Gus slept through the night there in California ( this has not been a normal occurrence back home) And upon returning home He has continued this....HALLELUJAH!!! Well since it's gonna be time to put up Christmas pictures in like a week I thought I better get our Halloween ones up here pronto!! We like usual had a great Halloween! The boys were pretty excited to get all the candy their little hearts could ever want...Too bad their Mom is the candy Nazi who rations that stuff like it's the Depression--But only for their own good:) I had a awesome idea for costumes for us but life was just too busy so we went with some oldies but goodies and will save my awesome idea for next year! We had a great time at our Trunk-o-Treat, last year we won first prize so Dayton was ready to take the cake the second year in a row! But sadly they never said there was a winner..Dayton might still be pouting about it a little. And as all of you in Utah know we celebrated on the Saturday, that morning the weather looked great and since I had almost ran out of candy at the trunk-or-treat I decided we really needed to stock up for the night so pretty much after walking out of Rite-Aid w/ 10 yes 10 bags of candy ( I have started couponing so really the candy cost me like 40 cents a bag) the weather turned into something absolutely ridiculous even by Utah standards!! There was rain, winds that could blow your Halloween decorations to Kingdom come, Hail.....crazy, crazy, crazy!! So with that we got 7 trick-or-treaters...So anyone want to come over and take the other 9 bags of candy off my hands for me:) Oh almost forgot probably the coolest thing i have done in awhile...NOT :) So At preschool they sent a note home saying that the kids could dress up on what I clearly remember reading as Thursday...Dax goes Tues/Thurs so Tuesday was a normal day...He caught the bus as usual blah, blah, blah. Then Thursday is here we put his Dracula outfit on, and of course when your Dracula you need your black hair with the overdone widows peak, right? So as you can see he was so so so cute I couldn't stop laughing every time I looked at him. And then I can't remember if their suppose to bring a treat w/ them..So I call my girlfriend Erin who's son is in Dax's class and she says "Well, with the Halloween party they had on Tuesday, that stuff's all done"...Um what!?!? So yeah they were suppose to dress up on Tuesday....not Thursday :) So the bus comes to pick up Dracula...and needless to say they had a good laugh at my expense :) So all day all I can imagine is at school some preschooler ( cuz' this is how 4 year old speak to one another) asking Dax "So are not dressed up because you guys Jehovah Witnesses or something?"-- Anyway....I sent a change of clothes if it was too distracting to have a vampire in your class with you!~

Well here is what could be the cutest melt my heart pictures of my 7, yes 7 month old baby Goose!! And the poor guy had to ring in his 7 month old status needing to get tubes in his ears.....:( The little man has had seven, yes seven ( I'm having deja vu) ear infection since he was born. So Dr. Clayton said it's time he see a ENT--So 4 days later we saw Dr. Beus and the 2 days later we were up at dawn's crack at Utah Valley Hospital with our little man who had the worst night ever...Finally got to bed just before 1 am only to have Mom wake him up at 5:30 am and I couldn't give him a baba ( That's another sad moment...Gus is weaned and I really think it's because it hurt his ears :( It was a little surreal for me to put him in his baby size hospital gown...and also I couldn't keep the smile off my face, Cuz' as you can see he's just ADORABLE!

It was really fast, I mean I felt like he was out of our sight for like 5 minutes. And happy to report he wasn't to sad coming out of anesthesia, I heard some horror stories about kids really hysterical so I was freaking out a little. But all went great and even by the middle of the day he was napping like he never has before!! And besides having teething symptoms coming on now, He is just so stinkin' Happy!! So thank you Dr. Beus!! And also here at our house Halloween is in full affect, Here's the first of the 7, yes 7 pumpkins we have to carve!

"I'd smile but my gums are killing me and my ear aches"

Well were half way to 1 can you believe it!!!! I can't and refuse too! Our little baby turned 6 month old on September 11th--it' s a sad day to share your half birthday with. He celebrated by going on a little family trip with friends to a cabin in Nephi cabin. We had so much fun the only downer was all of us except dayton coming home with bad colds and an ear infection for baby Goose......But were all on the mend! Gus had his 6 mon well-child visit yesterday--

Whew......busy times at the Gardner House!! Dax turned 4 on July 22nd...I know I'm only 3 weeks posting about....Yeah I feel a little crappy about it! Every other year we have a scaled down birthday so this year we celebrated at home w/ just Grand-parents, Aunt Kathleen, our cousins Kinsley & Dave and some close friends that were visiting . We had a favorite at our house Indian Fry bread-it was awesome!!! We played some good ol' badminton in the backyard and had some customized cupcakes I decorated.....yes, I felt really crafty!!! Dax is such a sweetheart, he is really patient w/ Cam ( sometimes...well mostly I wouldn't even be as patient as he is with him) and He just loves baby Goose--always trying to get him to laugh and let's everyone know he is his!! And lastly his favorite sayin' is "holy shoot"--Thanks Mater!

Baby Gus is just getting bigger and bigger! He is topping in at 18lbs and I'll give you the other stats when we go to his appt. later this month. He is teething like a mad man so the poor guy has severe eczema on his hands from chewing on them ! He is just a big jolly boy! Always smiling and even with getting a bath every other day ( he has his mom's crocodile skin) he smells of what we call the "neck-cheese" smell--yeah sounds pretty gross but when your chin rests on your chest it's hard keeping that place moisture-free :) His hair is growing back in and yes folks my baby is staying strawberry blond!! Love it:)

Mr. Cam is as cute and wild as ever! He is going to be 3 on sunday!! Dayton recently showed him how to play a SpongeBob game on the XBOX and well...we have to set a 30min playtime timer cuz' I am scared to say we have a natural gamer on our hands......I'm from the old school so Mario Bros. is my extent of playing so the fact he can move the two lil' joysticks-1 to walk and the other to look around is crazy--It kinda blows my mind! He is talking alot!! It's taking a while but now he's a chatter-box and we love it!! Gotta figure out a way to get him interested in leaving the nest to go to pre-school...He is my little shadow:) We're headed to Pirate Island tonight so I promise to get some pics up later!! And lastly be careful today...it's Friday the 13th!!!!

Our "little" man Gus is turning out to follow in the footsteps of his older brother Dax and those footsteps are cute big chubby ones! Dax's feet looked just like this, Cameron's were normal and in normal I mean he could wear shoes. Dax couldn't fit into shoes til like 18 mon. and by the looks of Gus' foot, we're on the same track :) He's weighing in at right around 16 lbs and is about 26' inches tall, We'll see the Dr later this month to get the stats. He starts cereal this week so I'm thinking this jolly rosy cheeked baby is going to be a happy camper with trying something new to eat!! His hair is still looking red and the baby blue are hanging around as well--We call him our little Irishman :)

Little or should big Gus man turned 2 months on the 11th!! we had had a quick trip to Arizona and I forgot to update you on Mr. Gus-- He just had his 2 mon check-up and the kid is weighing 13 lbs 4 oz and grown to 24 inches tall and happy to report his head size is in the 50%--So no big cranium on the kid (yet.......ex: Cameron) he he he-- He is a great eater, if his eyes are open there's like a 99.9% chance he is nursing! He is a smiling happy boy, very interested in looking around and is always turning his head toward any voices in the room. He is very loved/smothered by his big brothers and I'm pretty sure the kid's understanding of personal space won't be the same cuz' his brothers insist on talking to him with their noses touching :)--yes it's pretty adorable! By the pictures you can see he's getting chubby!!LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!!

Here's a couple pics of the boys too--The one of Dax shows how he would prefer to be dressed all the time--Nothing says comfort like transformers undies and toystory slippers!! He tells me it's hot when I say we need to get shorts on--quick story...Dax came in the other day from playing out back with his pants all skee-whompus, turned to the side and I asked him what happened.."I went pee in the grass Mom"--So the kid has figured out being a boy has it's advantages with the plumbing--Hoping he still prefers to pee indoors....we'll see :)

Cameron has started singing to himself when he's playing...pretty awesome--He's our daydreamer kid and to hear him singing the alphabet and the 1,2 buckle your shoe song kinda melts my heart :) He is as accident prone as ever......just walking a straight line for him looks like he failed his breathalyzer test, We love him!

Today is my wonderful, sweet husband's 32nd birthday!!! We have been together almost 10 years and I can't express enough how grateful I am to have found him! I am all too quick to point out I am not the easiest person to be married to; I'm a little loca it is true--Since we have been together I have maybe seen Dayton ornery like twice, and to be around someone that is happy all the time and so easy-going really makes for a happy great life :) He is a amazing Dad to our boys, they love him so much and I'm pretty sure they think he is the funniest person ever!! ( Dayton can do every possible sound effect known to man......so you can imagine how a 3 and 2 year old think this is pretty amazing). Thank you my Love for everything, i love you:) xoxo

p.s. He seems to not like saying he's 32 but I don't get it....the guy hasn't aged a day!

1 Month old!!

Gus is now 1 month old!! It is pretty crazy that a month has already passed! He is growing so big and is such a little mellow guy- The only sad news to report is he has a case of what the Dr. called Bronclitis--kind of a precursor to RSV.....so we are just trying to keep his nose suctioned out ( which as all of you know could be one of the worst things to have done to you:) and just keep a close eye on him since with being so young, no medicine.And if all is well this will pass in a couple weeks! But as by this picture he is still a happy guy!

So 3 kids is (alot) more than 2 :)

Well on Saturday I had my first "Wow......3 kids is a lot more that 2 moment"....Well, everything is going pretty good, Yes I am a walking zombie but baby Gus is quickly turning into a little "fatty" and Dax is now potty-trained (thanks to Granny Robin!!) and Cam is being fed a regular diet of the 3 things he will eat! And the boys are being bathed on a regular basis...though I cannot quite say the same for myself ( kind if kidding, kind of not :)

Well, took a quick moment for myself....to use the restroom, came out and immediately realized it was too quiet. (Dayton had just left to pick up his new contacts, so I was by myself.) I discovered the front door was wide open ( Dax got a stool to unlock the top latch) and they ( Dax, Cam and our dog emmylou) were 2 houses down, neither had on any shoes or a jacket--Our dog was smart, she saw me turned around and headed back for the house. The boys saw me and had a totally different reaction...they started sprinting away from me! And with seeing me chasing them they began to see what a fun game we were playing and picked up speed-- Imagine me, no make-up, hair greased up in a pony, not really matching pj pants and shirt with no shoes on either running and screaming after two hooligans! After a full block, my neighbor Judy pulled up with her car just as we were getting to the busier road in my neighborhood and helped me grab Cameron--Dax was still running... and finally I tried some reverse psychology and yelled to him "Bye dax I'm going home" and that changed his demeanor! So we piled into Judy's car and headed home for what I telling them was BIG spankings! But upon getting home feeling like my uterus was going to fall out from running after them--I was too spent to do any real discipline--So first things first I need to start wearing adult diapers cuz' even the time it takes for me to hurry and use the restroom is enough time for all hell to break loose! Oh and a side note Emmylou upon turning around to come home was nearly backed over by someone pulling out of their driveway!

And in closing I am really proud of myself it took every ounce of self-restraint to not go and get a large carbonated soda!! ( with nursing I am not doing any caffeine) So any who just needed to share my crazy day and be able to kinda laugh at it now :) The picture of the two "criminals" is one that shows how anything can be a hat--even a couple of bank deposit bags!

Our Little baby is here!! Gus Michael was born last Thursday March 11th at 10:33 am, He weighed 8 lbs and 2 oz and was 20 in long !! As it was no surprise to Dayton and me he has golden blond hair just like Dax and Cam did, He kinda has his own look but with the same nose and dimples as Dax and Cam's face shape--But of course he changes everyday :) His delivery went very smooth which I am so grateful for, The day before I was checked at the Dr.'s and was dilated to a 3 and was about 80% effaced ( I not really sure how that is spelled) He did the old "stripping" of my membranes which I think I saw stars....... Was sent home to see if anything happened--I was having contractions but nothing you would time-- So that evening I did my castor oil chocolate shake--Which I don't even want to think about......gag,gag! But I am officially 3 for 3 w/ the gross shake--I will add I was already starting the first stages of labor, but it sure kicks things up a notch! At about 2:30 am I woke up to what I knew were the real thing but was able to stay in bed okay, a little after 4 I got up and took a warm shower and just kinda said a little prayer wanting to know if it was time to wake up Dayton-- Yes was the thought I had immediately-- So we called my parents, got my little sisters over to be with the boys and away we went to the hospital. We got checked in at 5:30 and was put in bed to be monitored for that hour where they see if your "really" having a baby that day-- in the hour I went from a 4 1/2 to a almost a 6, so staying was what I was doing. Things were good, I could still communicate through my contractions and wasn't calling Dayton any names yet:) My Dr stopped in to see how I was and offered to break my water , I was only a 7 and was not really for the intensity of the contractions that come w/ doing that--about and hour and a half later, things were INTENSE and I turned on my side and felt the weirdest pop inside, and knowing I was pretty sure I hadn't wet myself--Nature had happened on it's own, and Holy Cuss did it--I felt Gus kinda move down and well.......that was it, I called for the epidural--I really wanted to do this on my own but I know I wasn't meant to be born in pioneer times so I wasn't also meant to have a baby the way those brave women did! I thank the Lord for that anestesiogist, I was kinda scared cuz' i was fully dilated and it still takes time for the medicine to take effect.....And feeling the urge to push and Dr. Weibell wasn't there yet! Well.....the pretty funny part was that my Dr. walked into the room at 10:31 and with 1 push, seriously 1 push Gus was here at 10:33!!! And being the champ I am, and probably because this was number 3, no stitches and my little baby looked awesome and was healthy! The two days in the hospital actually went by really fast this time and I was so happy to get home! Well, sleep is a privilege and I am slowly getting a little more each day, Gus is a great nurser which I am so happy about--With the other boys it was a struggle. He is a calm little guy, which Dayton's mom says "he knows he needs to be so his momma doesn't go crazy"-- The boys are getting use to him, The cutest thing was when we got home from the hospital and Gus was crying Dax wanted to know why he was crying and I told him he was hungry....So Dax goes to the fridge and gets the bread out and then goes to get the peanut butter and proceeds to try to make a sandwich!! Cute stuff :) And any chance that my breast pad is sitting on my lap Dax puts it on the baby's head (making Gus look like a little old Jewish man with his yamika) and laughs :) I will try to put photos up regularly with short little updates and so you can see how Gus grows and changes! Thank you to everyone foe the dinners, visits and treats!! xoxo

Hello.....I realized it's been two months since I last made a post. I'm just pregnant and pretty lethargic ;) Yeah so I have 23 days left til' our baby boy gets here and as you might have guessed I'M READY!! First I can't wait to see this little baby and a close second is it really is true that with each pregnancy your body feels everything sooner and I really am not a complainer ( don't phrase that question to Dayton, he will have a different answer for you) I just done with the "i've been kicked in the crotch by a pro soccer player feeling" that's all sorry if that TMI but hey I know the only people that read this Blog are ladies :)

Let's see what else.....The boys are wild monkeys but would I have them any other way....NO :) They are becoming masters of building forts out of blankets, being inseparable, being worst enemies, and both have recently started loving America's Funniest Home Videos and I hate to admit it, They both laugh uncontrollably when people get hurt.......Yeah, I can't lie that is what gets Dayton and me laughing uncontrollably :) We are still working on getting Dax potty trained before they baby gets here but um....he's not really all into it, But the little rascal knows the way to get a treat is to go potty in the potty and has "tricked" me more than once when I say "no" to a treat and then all of a sudden he going potty.......And I don't know if you guys knew that the best way to go potty is to strip down to nothing ( or at least that's what my son thinks)-- So in all reality I'm going to be one of those ladies you see at the grocery store with 3 different sizes of diapers in my cart.......Well the bright side is I live in Utah County so I know I'm not some weird anomaly :) Both boys are speaking more clearly which we are VERY EXCITED about--I know preschool is really helping the big guy and in turn Cam seems to have become more vocal!!

It's the Most wonderful Time of the Year!!

I would like you to picture that post title being sung in your best Bing Crosby voice :) Well, the Holidays are here and am I ready........"No".... is it December 25th yet? No, So I like to live by the seat of my pants and venture out into the crowds risk catching who knows what and get that rush! No not really my car is on the "kaputs" right now so the Boys and me mostly are hanging at home, staying warm :) And I am definitely one of the people who if there wasn't a deadline nothing would get done!

We were ahead of the curve for ourselves this year and got Family pictures taken for Christmas cards and don't ask if their mailed out yet cuz' well you already know the answer to that! We took them the day before the big snow so it was a whoppin' 14 degrees outside--I'm grateful for photo editing because all of us had issues w/ our noses running. The boys did really good considering they have no attention span and we were in a new place they wanted to explore! And I think my friend Becky did a great job of the center of attention being my huge belly!

I'm 28 weeks along and all in all feeling good! Almost time to break down and get some ugly prego pants...Both of the boys are Summer birthdays so I have zero "winter" pregnant clothes and really...who wants to invest in something you can only wear for the next three months! Heartburn is here in full throttle. But I remind myself I would rather have that than the morning sickness from the first 4 1/2 months :) Baby boy Gardner is very active and soon I'm sure I'll be experiencing the "alien hand" visibly moving across my belly when I'm in the tub! I

I would like to wish my Family, Friends, Neighbors a very Happy Holiday Season! I Love you all and hope your Holiday is one of good food,great health, laughter, answered prayers :)

Wow I just saw I haven't been on here since July 1st!! Crazy well lots has happened since then--Dax had a moment of insanity and broke our camera so thank goodness for Dayton's blackberry and its decent picture taking abilities. We had a great summer of being outdoors and good ol' seven peaks it only took Cam half the summer and he finally got brave enough to follow his "fish" of a brother around! I spent the last part of summer pretty sick......Don't worry no swine flu here just the first trimester of pregnancy which in my case I kinda want to crawl in a hole and pray I fall into a deep sleep til' about 16 weeks and emerge a normal, non-nauseous wife and mother :) We found out about a week ago we are going to have a BOY!!! So now the hard part is coming up with a name Dayton and me agree on......Hmm, more on that later- We are going to fast-forward to Halloween! Which at our house we absolutely love :) Cameron was as his loving father called him "count-dorkula" and Dax was "Skele-turd"--otherwise known as DRacula and a Skeleton-- Dayton is a crazy pumpkin craving fool, if he could make a living at it he would in a heartbeat! He carved me a special Michael Jackson tribute pumpkin as you will see below, i absolutely loved it!! Dayton and me dressed full-out but forgot to get pictures...I know my plan is to get a nice camera for Christmas :) I really plan on making blogging part of my routine again for I love those of you who are dedicated!! We leave this Saturday for a trip to Arizona and on to Disneyland!!! We are so excited to have break from life and spend some time all together in our favorite place-So I'll have pics up in a couple weeks-- :)

What can I say I'm a child of the 80's.......He was a musical genius to me---I made all my cousins watch the VHS cassette of the "The Making of Michael Jackson's THRILLER" like a thousand times ( Lizzie,Alli and any of the Fordham's can vouch for this!) It is what got me interested in Special Effects Make-up--( My dream job) and when we went to Disneyland we went on Captain EO every showing possible ( Julia, Ben and Cyd can confirm this) I know he lead a controversial life but just remember This guy invented the Moonwalk!!! What!! I want to get penny-loafers right now!! All I know is he was a huge part of my childhood and I will always love his music-- He really was the Elvis of our time--

Disneyland was pretty awesome! The only sad part was the couple days before both boys went in to the doctor to get antibiotics to treat a double ear infection for the big guy and Cam lucked out with just having a single-- Dax totally gets Disneyland, He pretty much has his own itinerary ( how the crap do you spell that word) for us as what rides we need to ride next and spotting the cotton-candy sellers and pretty much leading the pack! The boys rode everything they could, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise etc. Dax is big enough to ride Matterhorn and is almost there to ride the next height requirement!! Dayton can't wait :) The boys had a blast with there cousins Dade 10 and Tayen who is almost 7 ,they were so awesome to my boys! We miss them so much already! The weather was awesome especially since we heard Utah was cold and rainy as usual!! Getting home was good we really missed our Doggie Emmy and there's no place like home! ( to sleep that is.......I missed my bed and my boys sleeping in their own room)

HI my friends and family!

Well, with going back to work full time I haven't quite mastered everything :) I have pretty much been treading water...But at last I little break, We were suppose to head down to San Carlos, Mexico with all the Gardner's on Friday. But as you could guess......They closed the border due to the ragging Swine flu ( icky icky,yuck yuck)-- So got the call from Dayton's Mom!!! We are headed to the happiest place on earth...DISNEYLAND!! I am so excited I had to change my pants!! So Cali here we come :)

Besides the vacation news Yesterday was my Husband's 31st birthday!!! So I just want to tell him I love him and after almost 9 years together I need him more than ever!! I feel bad we didn't really get to celebrate--( you know how when you go on vacation you work like 8-9 days in a row..that is me)-- So we plan on celebrating w/ everyone in Arizona!!

A little update on the rascals-- They are pretty cute just getting big!! And energy for days....and days and well you all know what I'm talking about--I just need the weather to stay nice for at least 3 days in a row-- We are huge on going to the park or on walks to wear ourselves out!!!!**Nap time!! Hello**

Hey Everyone!

I'm sorry life has gotten a little crazy and now it's starting to keep pace and I may include "blogging" back to my weekly hobbies :) I started back to work fulltime...first at AT&T and well long story short it wasn't for me--I was working at the computer all day, doing inventory, paperwork---No customer service which at first I was like "Yes!!!I hate the public, I am sick and tired of helping people"...I am a big ol' liar, I love people, I am what they call a "people-person"-- SO I left AT&T gracefully to become the Asst. Manager at the jewelry store and I am feeling a whole lot better about everything and with the Boys this schedule is perfect--I am with them til they go down for their nap at 1pm--then Dayton and I do the switch-er-roo and I'm off. We are gearing up for a romantic Valentines Weekend-- Dayton is taking the Boys and myself to MONSTER TRUCKS at the Delta center on Saturday :) And I know you are wondering why I capitalized MONSTER TRUCKS....you have to..... it's shows how freakin' awesome they are :)

Please Officer! I'm innocent, I swear.....
Well... I told you I would get back to everyone with what this Holiday season brought with it and it wasn't all present and Ho-ho-ho :) I was hired by AT&T the beginning of November but wasn't starting til December 7th--We went to AZ for Caitie and Nate's Wedding which was the day before Turkey Day).I got a call that sure shook things up--The Human Resources lady called me to inform me I didn't pass my background check for the job.....Very confused I asked well what didn't I pass.....Well,Ma'am you have a criminal record...WHAT! I don't have a criminal record.....I'm sorry but I show here you have 3 felonies and 4 misdemeanors for Theft and car robbery.....I ask if one of my Bro-n-laws called her and put her up to this...No Ma'am, I'm not kidding......Anyway long story short, Someone who I know stole my Driver's License about 6 years ago ( in March) and committed these crimes then when they where caught they gave them My ID and SS number......And it also had turned into a warrant since I missed my court appearance back in April 2003 ( How could I be so careless)- So yes...all of you have been associating with a criminal---Well,now with the help of Dayton's Uncle who is an attorney the charges have been dropped the warrant has been released as of December 20th-- And now AT&T has restarted their background check! So Now that I have experienced Identity Theft for myself I can surely say It's not my favorite :)

Do I love the 31st of October?? Oh yeah! It really might be my favorite holiday of the year! We had a great time taking my little sisters Haylee and Brin along with the star of the night, Dax!! He caught on like it was his 10th Halloween not his 1st ( well second but this year he was game). He only had to venture to the first house to understand that if you say Trick-o-treat; people will hand you delicious sweets, and because your just a little guy they will let you reach into the bowl and get not just one but a minimum of 5 treats!! Nobody stopped him, I mean nobody!! So now like every other Mom......I am dealing with the "evil" Dax! What is evil Dax, you ask--it's the monster that lives inside my little sweetheart. And the secret trigger that sets the monster loose......That d*mn

candy!! I can't think of a place yet that he hasn't sniffed it out! So maybe I'll just eat it all myself, yeah that sounds like a great idea :)

Oh in case you are like what the heck are you guys dressed up as-- Dayton is the Mad Scientist, I'm his foxy lab assistant and the boys are our experiments gone wrong....Frankenstein and and a "little monster".

Okay....This made me want another little one to add to our Family!

We had Dayton's younger sister Caitin's Bridal shower at our house last Saturday and one of our cute friend's, Jill brought her beautiful little baby, Jacey-- I decided to be funny and really just love and snuggle the baby in front of Dax to see what he would do. Well forget any jealousy, He saw that little girl and with a huge grin on his face said "oh" and immediately wanted to hug her!! I was shocked, He climbed up on the couch and put his arms out like "okay, I'm ready to hold her"-- And spent the next 20 minutes being so gentle ( which is surprising, our poor doggie Emmy gets the "non-gentle" treatment) and just smiling at her and touching her hair....SO maybe it wouldn't be a such a big uproar to bring another one home :)

After becoming a Mom, I learned from My "foster" Mom Bashaan the dangers of PHO's and once I started reading labels at the store--I was pretty freaked out by all the "common" packaged foods that contain them--Nearly all graham crackers do...pretty scary since I was always picking them up for Dax since he had started eating solids--Even tortillas are almost all packed w/ PHO's, there is like 1 brand at Walmart (La Faorita) that is safe-- Peanut butter too...You need to get the kind you have to stir & refrigerate...you get used to it pretty fast, promise ;) Please everyone, I am not trying to scare you or make you feel guilty. I just was really happy to be informed. There are reasons our Great-grand and Grandparents possibly passed away from "old-age"..... it's that they didn't have access to all this processed and fast food-- Anyway, also I have found lots of healthy snacks at the Heath-Food store, and surprisingly they are maybe at most 25-75 cents more or if you catch a sale even less then what you would pick up a your regular grocery store :) **Click on the title to get the full explanation about PHO's , and the link at the bottom about "What's wrong with Wheat" is a good one-- May help some of you w/ food allergies you might not know that you have.

Dax is a train junkie!! He would sleep with his Train set if I let him :) And even when he is exhausted he will lay beside the train tracks to keep playing, and unfortunatly he doesn't want any help from Cam so we are having some "stool time" for hurting our brother--And a side note, We live close enough to train tracks to hear them--Dax will stop mid-anything when he hears them to tell me "Tain, Tain, Tain...choo. choo"-- I'm sure everybody has seen this train set it's a good ol' Ikea bargain at $14.99 for a 20 piece set!

Bridal Veil Falls

Hello Everyone..it's been too long! Our computer crashed and it's been an interesting ride to get it back to it's ol' self-- So here I am playing catch up-- About 2 1/2 weeks ago the Boys and I went up one to Bridal Veil to walk the path-- the color's are changing up there, it's absolutely beautiful!! Here's a couple pics-- It was a little chillier that expected so I had to fashion a little hood for Cam out of one of Dayton's shirts I was taking to the dry cleaners after our walk :)

I would like to introduce all of you to a new friend of mine. We have become quite friendly over the last few weeks and seem to be becoming closer day by day. I don't know her name but the tattoo on her "seat" says "time-out Tillie"...........

Let me tell you how we were introduced, The person that introduced us wishes to remain anonymous so we will call him "Dax"-- This new friend is the only one whose punishments mean anything to my little Hulk......What would cause me to let my "new friend" punish my 2 year old son?? Maybe pushing our helpless lil' brother to the ground while stealing whatever small, insignificant fraction of a toy he was able to scramble up to play with, maybe a tantrum or two, or three or what the h*ll let's just make it an even baker's dozen........It's very interesting the friends you make when you become a Mom, they are sometimes in the least likely of places ( my own kitchen per say) Do any of you Mommy friends of mine have any like my new buddy????

DisneyLand 2008

Well... we pretty much fly by the seat of our pants most of the time-- We were suppose to head down to New Mexico to see My Dad, Grandma and sisters this last week then everything kinda fell through-- My Dad ended up working out of town-- So the trip was cancelled, But I had work off, and My little Bro Drew did too and well all of us were chomping at the bit for a vacation-- So Dayton and I decided to go to Disneyland--So we drove out Thursday hopped back & forth between the two parks, and drove back Sunday-- The boys loved it! Dax is 37" tall which he was able to ride some of the adult rides--He even rode Matterhorn (I can't remember how they spell it)twice- each time his eyes were covered when the scary Yetti was near-- Both boys loved Pirates of the Caribbean-- Each falling asleep on it! Dax loved the new "Finding Nemo" submarine ride-- And I know you are all asking "what was Dax's favorite ride" It was the Train! You know the train that goes around the park--through pre-historic land and the Grand Canyon-- He was living outside of his mind as his Uncle Taylor would say!!! He just kept saying "Tain, Tain, tain- choo-choo" Well I am happy to be back home but the hardest part poor Dax is in detox mode right now.....He has never had a lot of sugar or "crap-food", So now that we away from Churro-frenchfry-cottoncandy Land-- He is kinda onry ( to say the least) And sadly I didn't get a ton of pictures--I'm gonna blame it on all the fun we had!

Sorry I kinda forgot, okay maybe not forgot but I am just glad to finally getting this on here! We had a big family BBQ for the little guy's b-day-- Dayton put up a batmitten court in the backyard, complete with marking the court with "special" lawn spraypaint! Of course I made too much food ( I have a problem w/ always over doing it!) We were eating several kinds of salads for over a week! Nothing like a little potatoe salad to start your day! Cam loved opening the presents , loved the crunchy wrapping paper- But as all of us parents know, He only needed 1 present, The first one was all he was interested in. He wasn't as into the cake as Dax was at one but Cam still is weird about solids and has the worst gag reflex this side of the Mississippi! So in closing thank you to everyone who came!! It was awesome fun :)

While I was working the other night I got a picture message from Dayton who was home with the boys. Dax got to go swimming w/ Granny Robin all day and did not get his regular afternoon nap. Dayton made him some dinner and went to sit down on the couch to watch TV, Dax was talking & making noise, eating his nuggets when it went quite-- Dayton saw ( out of the corner of his eye) Dax lay his head down on his tray. He first thought he was being funny and called out his name a couple times.....No answer, Dayton walked over and took a picture of what he thought was fake-sleeping Dax but no no he was completely out so out that Dayton got him cleaned up, changed his diaper and put him in bed-- The caption above the picture dayton sent me was Hulk...Sleepy

Celebrating My birthday w/ My Boys

I celebrated my birthday on the 4th and had an amazing day w/ Dayton and the boys! Dayton took the day off so we could go play, First things first had a hearty breakfast of Texas French Toast w/ buttermilk syrup and fruit and on to the Thanksgiving Point dinosaur museum we went, Once we walked through the doors Dax was already saying "wow" with his mouth wide open-- We let the big guy out of the stroller and he ran to everything so amazed-- So amazed that he looked up to see a scary prehistoric fish and I thought he was going to climb Dad like a mountain! We came home let the boys have a nap so Mom & Dad could go out to eat w/aunt Caitie keeping watch! Thanks Caitie we had fun :) Up next Cameron turns 1 tomorrow!!!!!!! I hate it when everybody is right......

So I did it.... I broke down and now am completley addicted ( like a crack head or something) to the Twilight Series......I know I know I am way behind the times. But with being a Mom now I haven't really kept up on my reading since Cam was born . Yeah I've read some shorter books this year on Abe Lincoln and the Donner party ( I a nerd for History, what can I say)--But since the Harry Potter series ended last year I haven't picked up anything over 200 pages but my curiosity has gotten the best of me. I started the first book on Sunday night and now have 80 pages of Eclipse left....And I am proud to say I only read when the boys are sleeping so in celebrating with the Summer games I decided I get a gold medal for being the coolest person I know......Okay not true but I may have even peeked Dayton's interested telling him it's a story about Vampires and Werewolves, So I keep you updated as to if I get him to read them or not :)

Happy Birthday to our boy

Today is Dax's 2nd birthday!! We had a fun day w/ a huge pancake breakfast, and then had my sister Haylee come over to watch Cam while Mom & Dad took Dax to see WALL E, He did pretty good but the last 20 min were a little tough :) Then home to collapse , when you nap at noon staying up til' 3 in the afternoon is tough!! We had a Lightening McQueen chocolate birthday cake which was probably his absolute favorite and he is really enjoying his new basketball hoop and t-ball set!! Here is a video from the other night of dayton throwing a ball up on the roof and Dax's reaction!! This is a perfect video to show what a sweetheart my baby is, Yeah I am unwilling to accept he is 2........It honestly feels like yesterday he was that 8 lb 5 oz 21 1/2 inch baby the doctor laid on my tummy!!! Dayton's Miracle Shot!!!

This is a post that Dayton personally asked me to do tonight, and I obliged happily since this blogging thing is more my thing than his ( which isn't that always the case :)-- But he went golfing with the guys from work and he hit the golf ball with an 8 iron over 150 yards and this is where the golf ball landed!! I have to kind of laugh that this is the post Dayton wanted me to make not the kids doing something funny but his miracle shot, Boy do I love that guy or what!!

Trip to Arizona

We were really fortunate to be able to head down to AZ last week, We left Tuesday Night but only drove to St. George to stay in my parents condo and it was up as early as we could drag ourselves out of bed to continue our 7+ hour trip. The boys did pretty good in the car , I had copied about three 4 hr DVD's Of Sesame Street so they just zoned out watching Elmo and friends. Upon arriving at Dayton's parents house we both lost about 5 lbs. from hauling our stuff into the house since it was a staggering 112 degrees outside!!! Man... I didn't know H**L was that close to home :) We spent as much time as possible in the pool, I was running around trying to make sure no body's (i.e. dayton and cam) SPF 50+ was wearing off too fast! The first day it took 4 hrs to get Dax confident enough to not cling to you like a little spider-monkey but man by the time we left on Monday he couldn't get out of the pool fast enough to jump to Dad! We found out Cameron is a fish, from the second he was in the water he didn't want any help from you! I was happy to get a little color even with wearing SPF30! Remember everyone, a great tan isn't worth jeopardizing your skin and ending up w/ skin cancer!! Okay I'll step off my soap box now.....But in closing had so much fun getting to see all our family, We miss them already :)

Summertime is finally here!!

For those of you that live in Utah you will know exactly what I am talking about-- It has been a long and somewhat painful winter this year....Did we even really have a Spring??? Well the Springville Art City Days Carnival came into town and we had a delightful time walking down to enjoy a navajo taco, cin/sugar pretzel and lots of other terrible carni-food!! I loved it! And at first Dax was scared by the loud noise coming from the rides but once we entered the kiddie ride area all that changed! He was trying real hard to get out of the stroller and I finally gave up the fight and Dayton took him over to see if he would get on a ride and not be upset...Mom was really wrong! He love love loved them! He rode about 4 total I would have let him ride more but each ride is like 3 bucks...Just letting that slip makes me realize I am getting older! Weren't rides like 50 cents back in the day at the 49TH Street Galleria!!! And in closing I saw enough 13 year old girls in daisy dukes with there butt-cheeks hanging out w/ a ciggarette in one hand and what I hope wasn't their baby in the other to last me a lifetime!! But then again there's always next year's Art City Days!

For Mom's that is......No I was laughing pretty hard when I saw how perfect this picture turned out. Dax is really a sweet little boy, Just some days he likes to test Mom like any other toddler, I'm really trying to remember what set him off and now I'm pretty sure Cameron is in his Highchair to the left of Dax and Cam grabbed Dax plate of Chicken Nuggets and flung them on the floor, I wasn't really paying too much attention as I had the camera in my view ready to snap a photo of dax stuffing his cute face, seconds before this Dax was completly happy and smiling.....What damage a few seconds can do !!

Oh, Here is my new Do'-- I cut some bangs ( which are so "in" right now) added some layers and had my hair lightened to a golden brown and added blonde hi-lites to really brighten everything up--Mostly I wanted people to believe these two blonde boys were mine!! Doesn't Cam have the sweetest little face!!

JUST 2 MORE DAYS
Yes I am a huge nerd! But I am so excited about this movie!!! But sadly I'm not seeing a midnight showing, But I am hoping to see it this weekend! But we'll see , Dayton's sister Chelsea is getting sealed in Manti on Friday Afternoon and the reception is the following evening, so that trumps going and seeing Indy- Yes I cried a bit, But i'm okay now- Naw....You know I'm kidding I'm still here wiping my tears.

My baby Cameron is now 9 months old!!!!

Our little sweetheart is now almost one! I really think this age could very well be my favorite, He is crawling with the help of his knees now and is pulling himself up on everything, Starting to get a little daring so I'm sure walking is around the corner! Cameron HATES any baby food, Yeah I keep trying to get him started on solids but when I give it to him he gags, shivers and looks at me like "what the h**l you trying to do, kill me??" We call him our little "monkey" cuz' he like to face you when you hold him and wraps his arm around your neck and loves to plant wet slobbery kisses, "open mouth" style on your cheek, forehead, your mouth ,everywhere, Even with the dog (a little gross, I try to step in as quick as I can)-- He never stops smiling...NEVER......Even with his 2 front teeth coming in!

Everybody needs to think about "getting some......"

No, No not that kinda "getting some" come on guys get your head out of the gutter...ha ha ha. No really I am encouraging everyone who hasn't already started using "reusable" grocery bags to try to do so. It is really starting to hit me (strait in the gut) how we are affecting the enviroment...I'm not getting on my soapbox , I guess since becoming a mom I realize my boys are going to be on this Earth way past my time and I hope the world isn't the wasteland the make it out to be in the Movies, So I found these bags online (www.bagsontherun.com), they are $19.90 for 10 bags and I have seen them even cheaper at Wal-mart & Target for 99 cents each!!! And I have learned to keep them in my car and I have them ready to use when I go to the store :)

Here comes the Mid-life Crisis...........

I mentioned my poor Husband's struggle with turning 30...Well I thought everyone would really get a kick out of seeing of the tale-tale signs. Dayton is a avid car guy, Always has been. We have made it a fun past time to go to Rocky Mountain Raceway in SLC and not just watched the Midnight Drag races but Dayton has raced in them also. He has has "turbo-charged" Pontiac Grand Prix for 6 years now, and was itching to get a new car...Well here is the new

one...I'm not kidding, But in about a month it will be painted black. I saw the Bishop at the garment store a couple of weeks ago and He asked if that was Dayton's new car....I'm pretty sure he was waiting for me to say no no I wouldn't let Dayton drive around w/ flames and a huge picture of Death on the hood of the car! But no I informed him it was now I'm sure the Bishop isn't sure of his decision to have called him to Elder's Quorom Secratary----he he he

Okay...I haven't been very good at this!

I do believe "blogs" are really awesome! It is how I catch up on what my friends and family are up to, I 'm just "special" and didn't quite know what I was doing so now we are all good!

What's new with us.......Dax is almost 21 mon. now, He is very curious about anything and everything. He is constantly testing the "child proof" latches and door knobs to see if he can out smart them, and most of the time he does! He is wearing 4T clothes! He stands at 3 feet tall and comes in at a slender 32 lbs!-- Cameron is 8 months old today! And is getting around doing the army crawl-- He watches his big brother w/ amazement and Dax is starting to notice this little guy worships any little bit of attention he will give him :) Dayton is working hard, He is still a Morgage Broker and now is venturing into doing Auto loans as well. His 3oth birthday is the 28th of this month and somebody is feeling it, He has stated back to the gym with full force and recently got a new car that is fast and cool, So pretty much I am waiting for the tattoo--NOT! Well...that leaves me .....I am chasing these little boys around and my meals consist of what falls off the highchairs-- No,no I really love being home, but I am about to go back to Best Buy for a night or two a week, I really miss the discount and having experienced how awesome it is I refuse to buy certain things w/o it! And this fall I'm going to start taking a class this semester at UVSC or online at BYU-- Exciting I Know!!

Welcome to our Blog

Well...I'm a little "green" at this. I am starting this blog with the excitement of keeping tabs on friends and family that are scattered to the wind, so to speak. I am finding as the rest of us, As you get married and then become parents it becomes increasingly hard to keep up with everybody and know what's going on in their lives. So with the encouragement of my friend Nakole (who i ran into at Wal-mart) who loves to blog. Here I am :)
